SUE JOHNSON April 2012
Celebrating our 40th YearWho knew, in 1972, that the lamps would still be glowing at 1745 Solano Avenue forty years later? It is thanks to the dedication of the lamp artists who, over the years, have put their creative talents to work designing exciting lamps here, and to our loyal and valued customers, who have continued to visit us over these many years. We are still excited by making beautiful lamps for you, and look forward to presenting our latest creative efforts. Throughout this 40th Anniversary celebration we will be introducing a series of one-of-a-kind and contemporary, handcrafted lamp collections. Don't miss a collection! Watch for our newsletters, visit our website and like us on Facebook. Our initial 40th Anniversary collection will be available beginning Friday April 13, and features the work of the Heintz Art Metal Shop, established in Buffalo NY by Otto Heintz in 1902. The Heintz Art Metal Shop was renowned in its time for its patented solderless sterling-on-bronze technique and its high level of craft and design. Their work continues to inspire, and is held in high regard in the Arts & Crafts community. Over the years we have made a multitude of lamps from Heintz wares, and have adapted the cut designs for mica ceiling lights and sconces. We are excited to have a group this large and varied to offer this year. Come see us, or call us - these one-of-a-kind lamps will be available for purchase beginning April 13.
The lamp artists at Sue Johnson custom lamps & shades extend a warm welcome to you all to visit us at our Berkeley store, 1745 Solano Avenue - the lights are on.
