sue johnson/custom lamps & shades light notes, april 2011 Two Turtles, Zen and Wren Three New Lamps for an Elegant Look
I'm excited to unveil three new items Sue has recently purchased that expand our inventory of interesting and affordable lamps that pair exceptionally well with our distinctive lampshades. Hope Wingert's popular Sea Turtle lamp shade has found an exciting new home, the verdigris "Turtle Duet" lamp below. This is a versatile as well as beautiful lamp, 25" tall and only 16" wide, a good end table, desk or bedside lamp.
 | | Turtle Duet Lamp $295, Sea Turtle Shade $387.50 | Next, Jill Lawrence's parchment lamp shade with paper accent provides just enough decorative punch for this lovely new celadon piece from Thailand. It's an elegant, serene combination and a great height for a bedside lamp; this combination is just over 21" tall, the shade is 18" wide.
 | | Celadon Lamp $199.50, Accent Paper Shade $159.50 |
Finally, there is this oval Wren vase from the Lonesomeville Pottery Studio's Wild Bird series. The charming depiction of this small, alert bird and the soft texture of the pottery piece go exceptionally well with Hope's oval mica shade with birch leaves. This lamp is 19" tall and 14" wide. Its front to back measurement is 11". Again, this is a very versatile lamp with a contemporary Craftsman touch. | | Wren Pottery Lamp $225, Oval Mica Shade $219.50 | These lamps are all available singly or as pairs. We hope you will visit us soon to see our ever evolving selection of distinctive and original lamps and shades.
