Our education foundation, the Future Focus Foundation recently unveiled a new visual identity as our new director takes the helm.
""All in all we are seeking to inspire the spark of science and technology innovation in students and guide them towards becoming 'rising stars' in their own right," says the Tech Council's Marketing Technologist and logo creator Jason Fowler. "I tried to portray this visually in an abstract way. With the hiring of Elizabeth as the new Managing Director, this new visual identity for the Foundation is a fresh face to a fresh start. And this fresh start springs out of critical self-evaluation and a renewed clarification of purpose as an organization..."

Central Virginia Community College, in partnership with Ranken Technical College and The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W), is pleased to announce a new Bachelor of Science program for Region 2000. Students with college credit in technical areas such as welding, machining, manufacturing and engineering now have the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management (BSAM) degree from an accredited technical college in a local setting.

We recently held our regional Lynchburg FIRST LEGO League Tournament and it was a smashing success! The event was even featured in the News & Advance: "The gymnasium of Timberlake Christian Schools on Saturday was filled with teams of children, some of them counting down the final seconds on the scoreboard while others on the sideline shouted an improvised cheer. The competition? Not sports. Robots. More specifically LEGO robots, made by teams of kids ages 9 to 14 from throughout the area for the sixth annual Lynchburg regional FIRST LEGO League Robotics Competition.
