Greetings!I'm sharing this not-so-proud moment with you here, to introduce this month's topic... I was irritated as I whined to my very patient Assessment Certification Trainer,
"I'm NOT low in 'Role Awareness and Job Engagement!' This assessment MUST be wrong! What is 'Role Awareness' any way, and what does IT have to do with being a great Consultant?"
Sometimes I can be a challenging student! That was back in 2004, when I first started my business. I later learned that I was having a typical feedback reaction, often referred to as: S.O.A.K. - S.surprise, O.outrage, A.acceptance & K.knowledge. Since then I've learned not only what Role Awareness and Job Engagement is, but how important it is to high performance, how to measure it and develop more of it personally and professionally. In this month's newsletter I'll show you what it looks like and give you nine interview questions you can use to look for it in candidates. Next month, I'll share some tips and tools for development. As in every newsletter I've added new videos: one Just for Fun and another for Inspiration around Thanksgiving. It is Thanksgiving time in the United States. My daily goal is to be as honest as I can about how I really feel, (I don't try to fake feeling good) and then, to lean into where I am headed. I try yo to look toward where I want to be (not stay stuck @ what I don't want).
