Audio Recording: Health
Care Reform and Children: The Prognosis for Change in 2009
This Thursday's Child public policy forum in Washington, DC,
explored the process and politics of enacting children's health policy within
the current economic crisis.
A panel of experts discussed the future of the popular State
Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), which will receive a
multiyear reauthorization this year, and how federal and state governments
might handle the challenges that will inevitably emerge when the interests of
young people are integrated into large-scale health reform.
