A new book will be selected each week through June and July.

 

Submit a recipe that you feel ties in to the book some how.

 


Recipes will be added to our Summer Reading Recipes Blog.

Recipe contributors will be entered into a weekly drawing and winners will be notified on Mondays.

Register for one of the following Summer Reading Programs
Kids -- Ages 0-12
Teens -- Ages 12-18
Adults -- Ages 18 and Up

Book Sale
Help support the Summer Reading Program by buying used books. Thousands of books will be available. Most cost less than $1.00.
Fierce Reads Tour

Tuesday, June 13
Ballroom
7:00 pm

Join the Library as we welcome Macmillan's FIERCE READS book tour, including debut authors Anna Banks, Leigh Bardugo, Jennifer Bosworth, Emmy Laybourne, and Marissa Meyer! This multi-author event will feature a text-in author panel, so all the questions asked will be generated by YOU!

 

Free event tickets will be available on Saturday, June 2 at the Adult Services desk. All patrons welcome regardless of cardholder status.

North Patio
2:00 pm

The North Patio will be turned into a giant Candyland board with you as the playing pieces. Candy and fun will abound! 

Summer Fun for Kids

 

Make and Take Crafts: Ages 0-12 and parents/caregivers

Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:00 am-12:00 noon Program Room

Free crafts for children and their caregivers. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Summer Toddler Time: Ages 1-2 years and their parents/caregivers

Wednesdays 10:00 - 10:30 am & 11:00 -11:30 am Storytelling Circle

Songs, stories, and a puppet show for toddlers and their parents/caregivers.

 

Canopy Capers: Families

Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:00 noon Canopy on the South East lawn

Bring your lunch and listen to stories outside under the canopy on the SE lawn of the library.

 

Spanish Story Time: Families

Mondays 7:00-7:30 pm Storytelling Circle

Songs, stories and a puppet show in Spanish.

The 18-Bucket Plan for a 3-month Food Supply
  • A simple, doable plan for obtaining and rotating a 3-month supply of food. 
  • Receive recipe cards for 20 quick, shelf-stable, and tasty meal.
  • Learn to organize meals in 5-gallon buckets or boxes for easy storage, cooking, and rotation. 

Learn It @ Your Library is a series of free educational classes offered each month. Classes are free. No registration required.

Let's feed hungry minds and mouths!

 

Look for donation boxes at the Adult Reference Desks or at any Summer Reading Program Event.

 

We'll be collecting canned goods and new or gently used books. All donations will be given to United Way and the Utah County Food Bank.
