Could You Use a Little Extra Cash
This Summer?
If Yes, Then Consider this Year's
Summer Loan Extension Program
The credit union offers a "Skip Payment" Program to qualified borrowers twice a year, in August and December. In this program, the borrowers can chose to defer the required payment for that month and not be considered past due. The interest will continue to accrue at the rate set by the promissory note and will be paid as a part of the next month's payment. This will also have the effect of extending the term of the loan one-month for each payment skipped during the life of the loan.
Your Choice
The funds that would otherwise be used to make the August loan payment are instead available for vacation, home projects or however the member wishes. If the loan payments are usually made by payroll deduction, with this option, the funds will be deducted as usual and remain in the member's share account for their use.
Letter with the Details
Early in July, a letter fully explaining the program will be mailed to qualified borrowers. In the meantime, if you have any question please call our office at 203.227.8511.
