 Communicate, Communicate, Communicate

We're working hard to reach you and, hopefully, for you to reach us.

We Have a Lot to Learn, But We Get It!

We Know It's Social Media

A big part of talking to each other is going to be through Social Media. Our web site and these e-mails play a big role in our communications with our members, but we need more in the way of two way conversations. There is much for us to learn but we do understand that Social Media must have an important role in our communications with members. We get it!

Many-to-Many Conversations

We want the many-to-many conversations that Social Media delivers. We need to provide our members with information that is both timely and informative and to do that well, we need to continually hear from our members as to what they would like to see. We're working hard to make all this happen.

For Starters: Our Facebook Page and a New Blog

We've had a web site for years and began this regular e-mail with Credit Union news late last year. We have now added our Facebook Page and started a new blog to become part of the Social Media world. These efforts, the web site, e-mail, Facebook, and the blog, play a role in the communication we have with our member community.

Web Site:  www.tttfcu.org

The web site is the place with all the important information describing the services and operations of the credit union. The home page offers a convenient sign-in box for on-line banking. There is list of required forms that may be printed for use. We continue to look at ways to make the web site better serve our members. Tell us what you'd like to see. You can send your thoughts to jconiglio@tritownteachers.org

Weekly e-mails

These are intended to help our members be aware of all the important services that the Credit Union offers. Our plan is to have each e-mail be focused on one topic and send only one e-mail a week. Occasionally though, it's appropriate to send two, like this week. In addition to this email about our communication, we sent a reminder about the scholarship applications. Those not involved with college financing, could easily let that e-mail go by without opening (and many have).

 Facebook Page

The Facebook Page serves to alert anyone who becomes a fan by "Liking Us" when a new email letter has been sent or a new post is published on the blog. We intend for the Facebook Page to be a place for communication that is many-to-many, that is the Credit Union office and members all "chiming in" on conversations through posts and comments.

New Blog:  Tri-Town Apple

The blog will offer useful information about financial considerations that are of interest to our members. It is not intended as an avenue to describe Credit Union services. Of course the blog is actually a web site, open and available to all. Current posts include a four-part series on asset allocation, or "Where To Put Your Money", and a post on 403(b) basics.

We Want to Hear From You

There is a lot that we'd like to hear. Tell us what is important to you, what information would be useful, and how can we better communicate. Let us know your experiences with any of the Credit Union services. The use of mobile devices is something we're very interested in. We'd love to hear about your use of smart phones and iPads for on-line banking.

There are many ways to reach us. Send us an email at jconiglio@tritownteachers.org or call us at 203.227.8511. Visit our blog, Tri-Town Apple, to leave a comment. You can visit our Facebook Page to comment on one of the posts or write something on our Wall.

We especially enjoy it when you stop by the office, so we can have the chance to talk in person.
