Greetings from Myrtle Beach,
The summer season has been great but it's winding down and that's OK because I'm ready for fall! If you haven't been here in the fall, you don't know what you're missing. The weather is the best of the year - comfortable temperatures, low humidity - just perfect. It's not as busy and crowded as the summer but there's still plenty of activity. Check out the article on fall happenings!
I've got a new report to share with you this month. It's a combined effort between a respected local research company and Coastal Carolina University. It's a total economic report on the area - not just real estate. I will share a few of my observations as well.
This month's newsletter will be absent two of my usual features - the Monthly Foreclosure Auction and the Upcoming Bank-Owned Listings. The final reports I have been receiving for the auction have been arriving so close to the actual auction dates (just a few days) that there has been no time for interested buyers to react. Also, the auctions have been featuring fewer and fewer properties of interest to my readers. As for the Upcoming Bank-Owned listings, many of the best deals at recent foreclosures auctions have been bought by local investors instead of banks and the ones that have been purchased by banks have often taken many months (over a year in some cases) to reach MLS. I will monitor these situations and decide if it is worthwhile to continue with these articles.
My Best Buy picks this month include outstanding opportunities in Kingston Plantation, Caribbean Resort, Dunes Village, Avista, North Beach Towers, Breakers Resort, Sea Watch, Paradise Resort, Crescent Keyes, Camelot, Barefoot Resort and more.
Come and see me at the beach. I'm really not kidding about the fall being the best time of the year!
