iPad to be Used at Via West Summer Sessions
Apple's popular iPad computer will now be used at all summer sessions at Via West starting this June.  A series of four Via-sponsored workshops earlier this year demonstrated that the iPad can be a valuable motivational and educational tool for special-needs children, teenagers and adults.  The four workshops attracted 250 special-need family members who were shown myriad ways in which an iPad can be used as a learning tool.  Via West now has 25 iPads and staff members have received training on how to use many of the the top special-needs apps. We look forward to getting everyone's feedback on the impact the iPads had during the summer sessions.
