Parents Learn Benefits of iPad and iPod Technology
Approximately 150 parents and caregivers came to Via West Campus on Jan. 8 to hear about two popular electronic devices with potential benefits for families who have children with disabilities. Workshop speaker Shannon Rosa described how the iPad enriched the life of her 10-year old son, Leo, who suffers from severe autism. Shannon said, "With the iPad Leo electrifies the air around him with independence and daily new skills." Via West Campus is exploring the idea of starting new respite sessions focused on the iPad. To learn more about the iPad workshop, please visit our website.
