iPad A Teaching Tool For Autistic Child
| |
A Small Miracle Via West attendee Leo Rosa is a 9 year old with intense autism. His mother, Shannon, recently won an iPad in a school raffle, but she had no idea how dramatically this portable device would enhance Leo's life. Leo instantly took to the iPad, which calmed him and focused his energy. The iPad, which is made by Apple, had given Leo a tool to increase his independence and help him learn new skills. After
one month Shannon said, "I don't dabble in miracle speak but I might erect
a tiny altar to (Apple CEO) Steve Jobs in the corner of our living room." To read the full article in SF Weekly click here.
