Here is a sample of one of our blogs: 10 Do-It-Yourself Tips for Springtime Feet Now that winter is coming to an end, a little pampering for your feet may be just what the doctor orders! After months of hiding your feet away in socks and boots it is finally time to slip into the hottest sandal styles this season. Just follow the 10 tips for pampering your feet!
1. Relax your feet by soaking them for 10 minutes in warm water. Both you and your feet will thank you!
2. Remove any calluses around the heels, balls and sides of the feet with a pumice stone or foot file after soaking. Don't use a razor! Razors remove too much skin and can cause an infection.
3. Try an exfoliating scrub to remove dry winter skin.
4. Hydration is imperative after exfoliating. Using your favorite lotion will help increase circulation as well as hydrate your skin.
5. Use a straight edge toenail clipper instead of a rounded clipper for your toes to ensure the nails don't become curved or rounded in the corners.
6. Only use nail polish if the nail is healthy. Nails need to breathe, so remove the polish occasionally.
7. Wash your feet every day. This is just plain good hygiene.
8. Buy new shoes! Don't wear last year's shoes if they are too worn or have an odor.
9. If you're not the do-it-yourself type, get a pedicure.
10. Call Dr. Vittori, Podiatrist, if you have any skin or nail conditions!
