Our vineyard manager reports that the mixture of healthy rain in early June and an abundance of sunshine and high temperatures currently is the perfect formula for a growth spurt that puts us two weeks ahead of a normal growing season. Consequently there is lots of activity in the vineyard! This is also a perfect time to visit the Finger Lakes and behold our beautiful vineyards and fields of wheat and corn alongside our beautiful lakes. Here at Knapp Winery we feel fortunate to be in the midst of this incredible landscape, so we invite you to visit and taste our wines-it's like tasting what you see. Our winery is open daily from 10:00AM to 5:30PM and our restaurant is open daily from 11:00AM to 5PM. We hope to see you soon!

| Bastille Style Celebration- July 17
French culture invades Knapp Winery and Vineyard Restaurant as we celebrate Bastille Day on July 17, 2010 with a Knapp twist from 1-4pm.
Knapp Winery and Vineyard Restaurant is seeking contestants for a Kiss-A-Thon. As part of our Bastille festival , we are looking for couples that can lock lips the longest to compete to win a case of Knapp wine. A prize will be offered to all who enter. Tasting room manager Anna Marie Giudice adds, "The world record is 32 hours 14 minutes and 17 seconds, but we will give you a prize if you are still together by closing time". Kiss-a-thon begins at 3pm.
In addition to the Kiss-A.-Thon, join us in our tasting room to sample Knapp's Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Wines paired with French style cheeses, Camembert, Chevre and Gruyerre.
Finger Paint the Eiffel tower too and the best artistic rendition wins a Knapp prize. We expect that Pictionary lovers will do well in this event.
For French style wines aficionados or those wanting to learn about Bordeaux style wines a 30 minute presentation including tasting will be held in our tank room. This session has a ten person maximum for two sessions on a first come first serve basis beginning at 2:00pm
American hot dogs will be available with special French mustard alongside a good ole American hamburger with Gruyere cheese.
Customers with French braids get a free tasting and French poodles are welcome, as well as poodle skirts.

Knapp Vineyard Restaurant sits alongside beautiful landscaped gardens. Our gardens inspire our chef to create a lovely Knapp wine dinner. Beginning with a terrific sparkling reception in our patio and leading into a dinner made with our own garden herbs and mixed with other local ingredients to offer a tantalizing menu. Including in this dinner will be a trio of assored "Estate Laid" deviled eggs and chilled pea and mint soup, surf and turf sliders, grilled stuffed pork chop with black currant apple cider reduction and herb inspired dessert. Tasting Room News Superstition T-shirts. For all you Superstition lovers, not only can you drink your favorite wine, you can wear it too! Our tee is designed with a grey black sophisticated cat with a bit of an attitude which is playfully displayed on a black t-shirt. Garfield will fall head over heels for this cool cat. Although only currently available in the winery, we will soon be able to take orders online so stay tuned! Restaurant News New Summer Menu! Our new summer menu has just been released and includes some of our old standards plus the following: Steamed Mussels- A full pound of tender steamed blue mussels. Tossed in a light brut roasted garlic and smoked pepper butter sauce. Caprese Stack- Fresh vine-ripened tomato and fresh mozzarella sliced and stacked with a bed of dressed field greens and a pool of pesto vinaigrette. Herbed Top Round Sandwich- Roasted USDA Choice top round, sliced and topped with Cabernet Sauvignon onions, roasted peppers and herbed Havarti cheese. Knapp Chicken Salad Wrap- Tender grilled chicken salad mixed with seedless grapes and cranberries, crisp field greens, Finger Lakes Farmstead Cheese companies " Schuyler" cheese and walnuts. |
