DrDepth software has new features with the latest software updates. You can create a map for your Apple or Droid smart phone or tablets, use the GPS (most phones have GPS) and see you position on the map on the phone.
Review your recorded chart (log sonar data) similar to how the Lowrance SonarViewer plays your sonar logs but you can double click on the replaying data to create waypoints. If you have used the SonarViewer you will quickly understand the value of this feature.
Lowrance has released information on the new Lowrance HDS Gen2 (2nd generation HDS). I have been testing it and put together a review and examples of the StructureMap features using some of my data. The StructureMap is a major advancement that is useful for fishing.
