The Tri-Cap community action agency in Jasper, Indiana is off to a great start. 26 members of their Staff and Board have started their Expedition training program. Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious and their four teams are hard at work on asset inventories and brainstorming for enterprise ideas. And their four teams? The Profits, Team Caffeine, Team Six Pack (because there are six of them on the team), and Team New Frontier. |
Where We've Been and Where We're Going
Jean presented a pre-conference workshop last week for the North Carolina Community Action Association. What a great group they are! 50 executive directors, board leaders and others gained hands-on experience with the 7 modules in SEV's Expedition training. Several agencies are ready to start on their earned income training this year.

Our Expedition training is delivered in 7 modules over several months with guided homework and consulting between classroom sessions. Agencies build a team of Staff and Board who participate in the training which results in a business plan for earned income based on agency assets (what you know, what you do now). Teams learn market research and feasibility, costing analyses, financing options, sales planning and more. It's like an MBA in nonprofit management! |
