Hello everyone,  here's an easy one...

Can we count on your help to put Stuyvesant High School in consideration for Title I funds next year?

We are close to reaching the 40% threshold, of homes with incomes at or below poverty level, required to receive Title I funds. If you received a message this week from Principal Teitel asking you to send in a Universal Lunch form, please do what is necessary to get the form to the school. Why the emphasis on this one paper, you ask?   When parents filled out and submitted last year's form,  Stuy received over a million dollars in federal funds for this school year.   More on how to get your form where it needs to be later in this e-mail.  And look for Principal Teitel at the next PA meeting to report on how this year's funds are used at Stuyvesant.  Mark your calendars!

Want to know the names of Stuyvesant High School Parent Association Executive Board members and the PA committees and their responsibilities? You will find links below.

Congratulations to the Stuyvesant football team for winning the Homecoming Game on Friday afternoon, 27-14.

Big thanks to parent Mark Hellerman whose bakery donated many delectable goods to the Faculty Reception and my apologies for misspelling his name in last week's e-mail.

Voting for Stuyvesant could win our school $20,000!
See below.

Please let me know if you have any concerns or comments.  I look forward to fielding your questions and suggestions.

Sincerely,

Barbara Reiser
Corresponding Secretary
