Report Cards, Parent Teacher Conferences and Open School
Watch your e-mail box for your child's report card, on Tuesday, October 26. A paper copy will come home 'via back pack'.
Set aside Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8pm or Friday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm for Parent Teacher Conferences. Seasoned senior parent Emily Shapiro has prepared some really useful tips for getting the most out of these brief meetings. Read her list here.
( Take advantage of the opportunity to follow your child's schedule on Friday morning, Oct. 29 from 8 to 12 noon. It is a great chance to get a taste of what a student's day is like. )
Call for Faculty Reception help:
The PA sponsored Faculty Reception is this Thursday night, October 28. This event is an opportunity to show our appreciation for the staff at Stuyvesant. The following specific help is essential for a successful event.
- 1 or 2 strong backed volunteer(s) for 1/2 hour at 11am Tuesday to help unload 10 cases of water and 3-4 cases of soda that will be brought to the school.
- 2 volunteers to be in the PA office, Room 271, to receive dessert on Thursday from 7:30 - 2pm. Can you cover some of this time? Please help out. This is a perfect opportunity for those of you who indicated you could help organize events or meet and greet.
- Clean up from 5:30- 6:30 or so. This is a good opportunity for senior parents or those parents who are coming to conferences on Friday afternoon.
You can work some or all of the event. The important thing is to step up and HELP. Please contact parent co-chair Jean Laupus at jalaupus@yahoo.com Families are asked to send in a dessert with their student on Thursday morning October 28 to be left in Room 271, the PA office.
