Greetings!

Remember, you still have the opportunity to put in for a position on the Parents' Association Executive Board or on the School Leadership Team -- nominations are still open.  This is a great way to contribute to a great school, so give serious thought to whether you or someone you know would make a good candidate.

Also please consider helping out our hard-working College Committee chairs, Lillian Sage and Monica Watt, with this coming Thursday's huge College Night!

College Night

Over 150 college admissions representatives will visit Stuyvesant to meet with our families.

The PA needs volunteers from 2:30-6:30 pm to help set up and clean up -- it's especially helpful to have senior and freshman parents help, since they will probably not be meeting with the college reps.  You can sign up for a shift from 2:30-5:40, 3:00-5:40, or 5:30-6:30.  To volunteer, please contact:

College Night

Over 150 college admissions representatives will visit Stuyvesant to meet with our families.  The event will start with an assembly at 6:00 in the auditorium, then will continue with five sessions from 6:30-8:30, enabling parents and students to see and hear about several colleges.  Juniors should have received an information sheet, and room listings will be distributed that evening.

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR SENIORS

GRADUATION ALERT

Dear Seniors and Parents:

Due to circumstances beyond our control Stuyvesant was forced to change this year's graduation date and venue.  Graduation for the Class of 2010 will now take place on Thursday, June 24th at the Palace Theater.  The ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m.  The Palace Theater is located on Broadway at 175th Street in Manhattan.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully this announcement is early enough to amend any previous plans. We look forward to another fantastic graduation, this time at the Palace Theater.

Sincerely,
James A. Lonardo
Senior Activities Advisor
