Election Day Tomorrow!
Election Day - Tuesday, November 1. The Arvada City Hall building located at 8101 Ralston Road will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will have a ballot box for Jefferson County ballots only. Adams County Voters can get a list of drop off locations by visiting www.co.adams.co.us.
Results for the 2011 Coordinated Election will be posted on the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder's website at www.votejeffco.com. By visiting the site, anyone with Internet access can view detailed reports of the Coordinated Election results for each race as ballots are being counted on Election Night, November 1, 2011.
"This system gives our citizens and interested parties detailed information on the results of each race, as well as updated turnout numbers," said Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder Pam Anderson. "They can also view countywide maps that display the results for each race as well as the turnout percentages," she added.
Anderson says the site will be updated approximately every thirty to forty-five minutes on Election Night, beginning with the first set of results posted immediately after the polls close at 7 p.m.

Committee Meetings
Joining a committee is a great way to get involved and take a leadership role in the Arvada Chamber of Commerce. If you, or someone in your organization, is interested in being involved in one of these committees, add us to your calendar. These committees meet once a month for about an hour.
The next Government Affairs Committee meeting will be held on Friday, November 4th at 10:00am at the Arvada Chamber of Commerce. The Government Affairs Committee of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce is comprised of representatives from a diverse mixture of Chamber members, who review proposed ordinances, statutes and regulations to evaluate their potential impact on members of the Chamber. The Committee recommends support or opposition of these to the Chamber Board of Directors.
The next Arvada Young Professionals meeting will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 10:00AM at Personal Benefit Services Wealth Management. Personal Benefit Services is located at 5620 Ward Road, Suite 100 in Arvada. The Arvada Young Professional Group (AYP) is a meaningful networking organization of talented, up-an-coming young professionals who are dedicated to building a better Arvada. We are made up of motivated, energetic young professionals certain to become Arvada's future leaders. Our primary purpose is to sponsor, promote, and support social activities involving members of the Arvada business community. AYP offers its members a way to link their personal passions with professional ambitions. The next Member Retention Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 10:00AM at the Chamber. The Membership Retention Committee will work with members to encourage participation in current chamber activities and develop new opportunities to be involved. Annual Halloween Carnival - Friday, October 28, from 4 to 7 p.m., Apex Recreation Center located at 13150 W. 72nd Ave. For a complete list of events and costs visit apexprd.org. Join Arvada Library in welcoming the arrival of the Arvada Beer Company by attending a library sponsored showing of the movie Beer Culture. The 55-minute movie will be shown at the Arvada Beer Company, 5600 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., on Tuesday November 8th, Wednesday November 9th, and Thursday November 10th starting at 6:00 pm each evening. The film's producers will be in attendance and you can enjoy a tasting of some of Arvada Beer Company's new beers! Library staff will be on hand to answer questions about small business resources available to you, and suggest how the library can lend a hand when you have business related questions. Community Craft Fair - Friday, November 4 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Recreation Center located at 6842 Wadsworth Blvd. Get a head start on your holiday shopping with handmade treasures including a snack bar. Emergency Alert System Test - On Wednesday, November 9 at noon FEMA will conduct a national Emergency Alert System test interrupting every radio and TV broadcast, cablecast, and satellite cast in the US.
