It's time once again to help us RAISE THE WOOF!, as Foothills Animal Foundation announces the 2nd annual Raise the Woof! Gala. Please join us on Saturday, July 23, 2011, and experience the joy that helping pets in our community brings to us, to our neighbors, and to the animals. All proceeds from the event directly support the animals we care for, and highlights of the evening include live music; taste-of style dining and beverages provided by over 20 local restaurants and vendors; silent and live auctions; all set amidst a private car collection! To purchase tickets to this unbelievable event, go to www.raisethewoof.org. Foothills Animal Foundation is dedicated to making possible the humane goals and purposes of the Shelter by raising awareness in the community and securing philanthropic support. Our Foundation's vision is to elevate the level of programs and services provided by the Shelter through increased financial contributions. The Foundation is seeking donors from the community to help ensure that every animal in need is given the best chance at a better life.
The mission of Foothills Animal Shelter, previously known as Table Mountain Animal Center, is to provide the best care possible for every animal that enters their doors. The organization is a true resource for the pet community - including low-cost spaying and neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, dog licensing, community room rental and dog training. Founded in 1976, the public/private partnership provides animal control services to municipalities within Jefferson County.
The open-admissions facility (that never turns any animal away) cares for 10,000 animals annually and is one of the largest animal shelters in the metro Denver area. Besides cats, kittens, puppies and dogs, the Shelter also cares for other types of pets such as chinchillas, reptiles, guinea pigs, rats, birds and fish. The volunteer program is robust with over 400 passionate individuals who provide countless hours of service to a variety of areas including: fostering, event planning, fundraising, animal enrichment, administrative work and much more!
The organization moved into a brand new 33,000-square-foot facility in August of 2010 on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden (near 6th and Colfax). An Anniversary PAWty will be held on Saturday, August 6th to celebrate the accomplishments of its first year. Check out www.FoothillsAnimalShelter.org for more information about this great organization, the fun events it hosts, volunteer opportunities and to view all of the current homeless pets up for adoption.
Give the Foothills Animal Shelter a call today to take a tour! It is an impressive facility.

Ambassador of the Month
Congratulations Jeff Hatcliff Kentco Stores As a new entrepreneur I was not sure what direction I should be going to grow my business. Joining the Chamber was the best business decision I have made. Joining the Ambassadors has been the second best. The camaraderie of the group instills a sense of being. Visiting new and renewing chamber members provides an opportunity to meet with other business owners who provide insight on how they conquered some of the same barriers in business that I have. It is important to me to be able to share their knowledge and my experiences with new entrepreneurs and business owners. The Arvada Chamber Ambassadors are awesome and a dynamic group that ROCK!
Kentco Stores was started in 2008 as a result of an earlier retail venture, Rocky's Mercantile. Kentco Stores is a E-Commerce affiliated marketing business offering customers wide variety of products from different and unique companies. JKH Enterprises retails exclusive brands such as Artistry skin care, Nutrilite supplements, vitamins and sports nutrition, SA8 laundry products, Legend of Clean home come products and more. JKH Gift Card Collections is a company that offers more than just a gift card.
