Teri Starry has opened a State Farm Insurance Agency in Arvada at 12191 W 64th Ave. (Ralston Road) Suite 205. She is succeeding retiring State Farm Agent Bob Sorensen. Teri Starry was formerly an Investment Analyst and Financial Planning Associate for UBS Financial Services and Prudential Insurance. Teri earned her Masters degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
She is a member of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the YMCA. She and her husband Kurt have been married for 20 years and have one son, Jimmy. Teri enjoys spending time with her family playing tennis, golf and skiing.
Teri is looking forward to this new opportunity and providing "Good Neighbor" service to her State Farm customers, "I am so excited about this opportunity and thankful that State Farm has entrusted me with their policyholders. I will do everything I can to provide the best service and guidance possible" she says. Her State Farm office offers auto, homeowners, renters and business insurance. In addition her office provides Financial Services.

Committee Meetings
Joining a committee is a great way to get involved and take a leadership role in the Arvada Chamber of Commerce. If you, or someone in your organization, is interested in being involved in one of these committees, add us to your calendar. These committees meet once a month for about an hour.
The next Government Affairs Committee meeting will be held on Friday, May 6th at 10:00AM at the Chamber. The Government Affairs Committee of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce is comprised of representatives from a diverse mixture of Chamber members, who review proposed ordinances, statutes and regulations to evaluate their potential impact on members of the Chamber. The Committee recommends support or opposition of these to the Chamber Board of Directors.
The next Arvada Young Professionals meeting will be held on Thursday, April 14th at 10:00AM at the Chamber. The Arvada Young Professional Group (AYP) is a meaningful networking organization of talented, up-an-coming young professionals (age 21-40) who are dedicated to building a better Arvada. We are made up of motivated, energetic young professionals certain to become Arvada's future leaders. Our primary purpose is to sponsor, promote, and support social activities involving members of the Arvada business community. AYP offers its members a way to link their personal passions with professional ambitions.
The next Member Retention Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 12th at 10:00AM at the Chamber. The Membership Retention Committee will work with members to encourage participation in current chamber activities and develop new opportunities to be involved. Businesses that are involved are more likely to be successful. |

For more information 303-425-9710 Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports (CCGS), a statewide coaches organization, will host the Ninth Annual Ruby Miller Scholarship Scramble at Lake Arbor Golf Course on June 10, 8:00 a.m. This event is the sole fundraiser for four $1000 scholarships awarded to senior girls who have a desire to go into coaching.
