Streets Fitness opened its first location in Louisville, Co in 2009. The owners had an overwhelming response to the gym, the variety of workouts and classes from the community and soon opened a second location in Arvada (at 64th and Ward). Streets Fitness is the concept of Brian Vandemoortele, Kim Vandemoortele and Bryan Kinderman. Brian has managed fitness clubs for over 13 years and is a former power lifter; Kim is a former Kickboxing National Champion and Bryan has an MBA and a string of successes in corporate engagements. Streets Fitness fills the demand for a different kind of workout that features cardiovascular conditioning, strength, functional, core, and technical training. Streets offers a complete fitness facility, including a full line of weight equipment, cardio machines, and up to 40 classes per week that include Boxing, Kickboxing, Circuit Training, and Functional Training. Streets is also home to talented and knowledgeable Personal Trainers, Coaches and Staff who can help you take your fitness to the next level. The Trainers/Coaches all have ring experience and are certified personal trainers - they provide the members with a workout unmatched in the area. Here is what Derek M had to say about Streets- Jan 10, 2011 Two years ago I moved to Colorado, I weighed 273 lbs. I had sleep apnea and was in the early stages of hypertension. On my own I was able to lose about 20 pounds but it was difficult to keep it off. Since joining Streets Fitness I have gotten down to 200 lbs, the sleep apnea is gone, and my blood pressure is normal. The instructors and staff at Streets help keep me motivated and sparked a passion for boxing that I will have for the rest of my life.
Streets understands that most people do not look forward to exercising and going to the gym. Many do it because they know they should or they have a fitness goal. Streets wants to transform your view of "working out" and help you discover that exercise can be fun. Through programming and staff, the folks at Streets believe that everyone can "find their fitness" and look forward to coming to the gym. The bottom line is this: Streets Fitness is committed to solid training for men, women, and youth with all skill and fitness levels. Getting in a boxing ring is not for everyone, so whether your goal is to compete or get into great shape, Streets will get you there. Streets classes uniquely combine cardiovascular exercise and technical instruction. Actual Muay Thai fighters and Boxers teach our classes and provide a mix of 80% fitness/cardio/strength and 20% instruction leaving you with solid boxing and kickboxing technique and a great workout! Whether you are looking to train for your first or 20th fight, learn how to box or just want to lose that extra 20lbs, you have come to the right place. The Arvada Chamber's own Dot and Kendra recently attended a boxing class as Streets Fitness. They had so much fun they set up a Chamber Member "Arvada Adventure" night here at the facility. Please join us on Wednesday, May 25th at 5PM at Streets Fitness. Throw on a pair of sweats and sneakers after work and come on down to 64th & Ward road. Streets Fitness has boxing gloves for you to use.
