 Ages & Stages Toy Box is Arvada's Premier, Locally Owned and Operated, Speciality Toy Store. Our toys stimulate "adventures in play," with high quality products that are unavailable in budget chain stores. Our customers know that they are providing maximum support for a youngster's learning potential when they choose a toy from Ages & Stages Toy Box. Dan and Jill Driver purchased Ages & Stages Toy Box November 1st in honor of their son, Jake, who past away last year.  This was one of Jake's favorite places to play. For that reason, our goal is to become a destination point for the children in the community. We want the store to be a play place, therefore, we are planning more playdates... crafts, magic, science, book clubs, plasma car races, etc. Toys are not meant to be in a box, but out and played with by children is our philosophy.  One of our main goals is to grow into a resource for families that have Children with Special Needs. We are gearing up and reaching out to this community to bring in the toys and tools to help these children grow, develop, and know that they belong. We will rename the store, JAKE's Toy Box, on February 24, 2011, in honor of Jake's 6th Birthday. JAKE's Toy Box will be the store for "Toys for all Abilities." The Arvada Chamber of Commerce will be there at 4:30pm that day to share in the memory of Jake. Please take a few minutes out of your day join us at Jake's Toy Box.

Colorado Gives Day
Help Ralston House by donating through GivingFirst.org on December 8 - Colorado Gives Day. Ralston House is a local non-profit agency in Arvada helping children heal from abuse and tell their stories of victimization in a safe, child-friendly environment. Ralston House is planning a Give Rally on December 8 at Bread Winners Catering 4pm - 6pm (7311 Grandview Ave, Arvada). Keep watching www.ralstonhouse.net for more details. Colorado Gives Day is a new initiative to increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, and donations will be accepted through the website, GivingFirst.org. The Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund is a pool of dollars that will be used as an incentive to encourage donations from the public and increase the value of each donation made on December 8. The Incentive Fund will be proportionally allocated across all donations received through GivingFirst.org on Colorado Gives Day. Donations collected on this website can benefit not only Ralston House, but also other non-profit agencies in Colorado. The Santa House is organized by AWRSAY (Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors for Youth) and is located at 9518 W 58th Avenue in Arvada. Last year the Santa House made the holidays happier for more than 3,000 local children. To take part, bring items to the Apex Center, Garrison Sports Center, the Community Recreation Center, Meyers Pool or the Racquetball and Fitness Center by DECEMBER 17th.
