Superintendent of Jefferson County Public Schools, Dr. Cindy Stevenson will be the keynote speaker at our Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, August 11th at DiCicco's. Dr. Cindy Stevenson was appointed Superintendent of Schools for Jeffco Public Schools in 2002. Dr. Stevenson has more than 37 years experience as a Jeffco educational leader, including time as a teacher, a principal, and deputy superintendent.
She is the first Jeffco Public Schools alumnus to lead Colorado's largest public school system, with more than 84,000 students and 150 schools. She earned her university degrees, including a Ph.D. in Administration, Supervision and Curriculum Development, from the University of Colorado.
As Jefferson County's largest employer, Jeffco Public Schools employs over 12,000 full and part-time staff, and invests more than $1 billion annually into the county's economy.
Dr. Stevenson was named the 2010 Colorado Superintendent of the Year and was one of four finalists for the national award.
She is a passionate advocate for students and leads Jeffco Public Schools with a sincere passion for building a promising future for all students. She is diligent in her efforts to provide opportunities and choices to Jeffco's more than 84,000 students and has worked hard to cultivate a core value system in the district.
