| | It can seem impossible to meet the right person. |
Greetings!
We all know someone who met their soulmate on an online dating site. It's increasingly hard to find a place in which to interact with people in your age, income, value and interests that doesn't feel like a meat market.
In our line of work, we often are very jaded, as we see only the negative consequences of internet dating and hasty marriages. We have included an article about vetting your possible true love, and also a guest article from Anji Fussell at She Spies Private Eye, Inc. about getting the best evidence for you when you need it.
Our best advice, besides the obvious, is to take your
time getting to know the person you are dating. Be aware of the warning signs that he/she isn't totally who they say they are. We aren't talking about "embellishments"; we all want to look our best; but listen to that little voice in your head when something doesn't make sense. There's a fine line between being vulnerable enough to enter a relationship, and opening your entire life to them, including your finances. Take it slowly, and listen to how your longtime friends and family feel about your new love. |

Concerned that Your True Love Isn't What He/She Seems to Be? There's an App for That!
Approximately 20 million Americans are using dating sites. However, what do you really know about your potential true love you met on Match.com, eHarmony or any of the other numerous dating websites? Are you sure that he/she is really single? In fact, do you really know anything about them except what they divulge on the website or tell you? The dating sites have no incentive to police their members and have no liability for the information their members put on their pages.

How can you protect yourself from a cheating spouse or con man or woman, and make sure that your true love (or even a casual date) is what he/she seems to be? There are numerous mobile phone apps which make background checks quick and easy, such as the Instant National Search app. There are also several websites which will enable someone to request background checks for a nominal fee such as MyMatchChecker.com.
Many dating sites and other experts question how effective these background checks can be because the databases vary in quality and availability. The safest way to protect yourself would be to use a professional private investigator to conduct a thorough background check on your true love. Also, a good prenuptial agreement can be a great safety net. Even if you haven't amassed substantial assets yet, you should at least talk to an attorney about how a prenup can protect you. |

How Private Investigators work with clients and attorneys to win the case.
| | Anji Fussell |
Your attorney is already diligently working to represent you by doing what they do best, with meetings, depositions, preparing case files, and appearances in court along with countless hours of just sifting through information and strategizing how to present the best case possible. Because family law evidence is often more than bank statements and property deeds, hard evidence to prove a client's case is not easily available. That's where a private investigator is critical. A private investigator can perform surveillance, work undercover, gather photos, video, and documents to make the case stronger. Turning "He said - She Said" into tangible evidence has won many cases. In some instances, without our evidence, there wasn't much of a case to present.
At She Spies Private Eye, Inc., we gather evidence that can be undeniable and compelling. Our key success is been our ability to ethically and legally collect information in order to give your attorney the upper hand in settlement negotiation. Often, just showing the evidence to the opposing counsel forces them to have a reality check with their client and to recommend accepting a reasonable settlement. If their client insists on going to court, having Anji Fussell, owner of She Spies Private Eye, Inc., merely walk into the courtroom to testify to her findings can result in a settlement on the courthouse steps. One attorney she worked with said, "I wish I could win every case by just walking you down the hallway."
Our investigation can be a huge asset in assisting your attorney to prove your case. Our client's view of their case is our number one concern. Give us a call; we are here for you. |
