Greetings!

The important night is soon approaching where we are able to celebrate and honor our extraordinary teen Club members.  The Youth of the Year (YOY) dinner will be held at East Mountain Country Club on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.  A reception and book signing with guest speaker Steve Buckley will begin at 5:30pm.

Being selected Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a member's family, school, community and Club, as well as personal challenges and obstacles overcome.

This year's candidates are:

Shanice Ayala

Monica Iglesias

Amber Pettell

Nelson Roque

Katherine Shaughnessy

Luis Vazquez

The qualities of character, service and leadership that make a Youth of the Year are promoted in the Club every day. Whether a Club member actually becomes Youth of the Year, the time and effort invested by staff helps these young people become all they are capable of being.

Please call Lerryn at 562.2301 by March 19th if you are interested in attending.  The cost is $30 per person or $300 for a table of ten.  We are also selling a limited number of autographed copies of Steve Buckley's book 'Wicked Good Year' for $20 (originally $25.99).  If you would like to pre order a book please contact Lerryn.

We hope to see you all there!

Sincerely,

William R. Parks

Executive Director

P.S. Be on the look out for emailed video interviews with the 2010 YOY Candidates to help you get to know the teens we are celebrating before their big night!
