TMC Environmental Newsletter

Greetings!

We are pleased to share the latest news from TMC Environmental including a Message from the President, a recent project profile and a welcome to our newest employees, Gary Gaffney and Jess Duckett.

Message from the President                                      Matt Clark

Planning for the annual charity golf tournament benefitting the Make A Wish Foundation is underway for 2012. The date has been set for August 28th at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Massachusetts. We look forward to hosting an enjoyable event and making a substantial contribution to an outstanding charitable organization.

Additionally, I am very pleased to announce that TMC Environmental has secured a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with the U.S. Coast Guard allowing TMC to partner with the Coast Guard to respond to pollution emergencies. In February, TMC responded to a #6 oil release in the Providence Harbor under the direction of the Coast Guard. This is the start of what will surely be a close working relationship with the USCG. We are very proud to be part of the effort to keep America's waterways free of pollution.

A new year has also brought many new faces to our TMC Environmental family. I would like to personally welcome the following additions:

Ryan Meron - NY Account Manager

Bart Brooks - CT Field Tech

Eric Kimball - CT Field Tech

Gary Gaffney - Field Specialist, Disaster & Restoration

Jess Duckett - Sales & Marketing Assistant

Sean Beaudry - CT Project Manager

These additions to our team add to our already stellar service capacity regionally and I look forward to additional growth in the months to come.

Project of the Quarter - PCB Remediation

TMC Environmental was awarded a PCB Remediation project for a local City economic development group. The project involved the remediation of a property with PCB contaminated soil that began last winter. TMC's vast knowledge in PCB remediation enabled the project to start as soon as a Notice to Proceed was granted by the City.

TMC submitted a PCB Work Plan that was accepted by the EPA without notable revisions which enabled the work to begin without delay. The site contained PCB contaminated soils above 50 ppm PCBs which required disposal at a TSCA disposal facility. The work progressed through the winter without any disruption for weather due to TMC's ability to coordinate a schedule with the LSP and City to facilitate excavation activities and remediation through inclement weather along with a vigorous sampling program.

TMC anticipates completion of the project this spring, allowing the City to conduct revitalization of the property for their economic development plans.
