Not to be a bummer in this issue, but recent events have precipitated a topic that I would like to address and that topic is the passing of a loved one. Recently a friend of the John of Peniel (New) community, Mary Jane Roberts, has passed on leaving behind a loving family. Each member of the family is going through their individual struggle with the passing. We send our love to them.
It brings up a topic that I have felt we could address here: our very nature.

 

Many spiritual authors and teachers have used the phrase, "We are spiritual beings having a human experience." It is my personal belief that all we perceive in the world is an illusion. This illusion is created by our thoughts, words and deeds. Our thoughts, words and deeds are a product of our belief, our faith. At the end of her life, our friend Mary Jane (who had been healed of many things in our personal sessions), decided she was ready to die. She actually told her family so. Her thoughts, words and deeds were aimed at the outcome and she passed away at home on the anniversary of her grandmother's death in the house her grandmother died in, in the room where her grandmother passed. But it was her decision to go.

She is an example of the fact that we are the creator of our experience. When Mary Jane's mother was bedridden, Mary Jane took care of her. Her personal condition at the time was a struggle with her own health conditions. She shared with me that she would have to go up and down stairs taking care of her mother. Every time she went up or down the stairs she would have to stop and rest several times on the way, but she did it. She, even in the throes of muscular dystrophy, continued to lovingly take care of her mother. Mary Jane chose to keep moving. She chose in the last few years to be able to set down her conditions. And when she decided it was time to go, she did.

 
Each of us is truly a spiritual being, or as Yoda would say, "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter."  As I have said on many occasions Einstein proved that there is nothing solid in an atom - it is all nothing but pure formless energy. What we see is an illusion. When we transcend the illusion we return to source. We return to our truest nature, our purest essence. We awaken our own luminous being within. The reason we come here is to experience different aspects of separation from source. Each of the Avatars of the past became aware of the illusion and rather than passing from it chose to stay here and experience it and share their insights.

The main insight is that you are the creator. You are the author of your life. What are your thoughts, words and deeds creating? Is it a conscious creation or an unconscious one? Mary Jane lived a wonderful life of separation and service and when she decided that the work was done she chose another path. 
Remember that the loved ones who have passed are in a place of oneness with God, no fear, no pain, no stress, Just LOVE. You are the one who is away. The ones who have gone before us are living a glorious life. God bless them and us as we continue to awaken to our creator potential.
