Greetings!

It has happened again - the holiday season has sneaked up on us! Break out the toboggans, hot cocoa, lights, snow boots, and packed schedules! Although the holidays are a great time for activities with your family and get-togethers with friends, it can also end up so hectic that it becomes a source of stress.

Don't forget to really take care of yourself and monitor your own feelings of stress and balance. Eat well (between holiday cookies), stretch before heading out with the snow shovel, and definitely keep up with your chiropractic adjustments and homeopathic remedies.

In this newsletter, you'll find some other tips on keeping your immune system in tip-top shape!

From everyone here at the Pande Family Wellness Centre, we hope your holidays are filled with love and laughter!

Take care,

Dr. Maya

Last year we raised over 130lb of food! Help us reach our goal of 250lb...We can do it! If you would like to learn more about the Daily Bread Food Bank visit their website at www.dailybread.ca and for more information about our food drive please see our website Pande Family Wellness Centre

Holiday Entertaining: The Nutritious Way - Tara Miller C.N.P.
The holidays are upon us and party session is here! However, this doesn't mean that all the healthy choices we have been so good about making this fall have to be thrown to the wind. This year, make small but ever important changes when hosting parties to show your guests (and yourself) that healthy eating does not have to be left at the door when the festivities begin!

1pita pizza. Make Veggies the Main Event
Instead of serving baked Brie and sausage rolls, try highlighting local vegetables this holiday season. That doesn't mean putting out a veggie platter of baby carrots, celery and ranch dip. Show off the beautiful colors of this seasons produce with multicolored heirloom carrots, radishes, tomatoes, snow peas, wild mushroom and broccoli with a homemade hummus or red pepper dip. Your guests will be impressed by your elaborate crudité and their stomachs will be thankful as well.

2. Homemade is Better

There is no need to pop frozen hors d'oeuvres in the oven when you can cut tranfats and sodium with your own creations. Try baking pita pizzas topped with spinach, olives and Read full article

Massage to Boost Your Natural Immunity - Lesley Hargreaves R.M.T.

If you've been feeling tired and rundown lately you are not alone. You may be feeling that way because of the pressures from work, home life or school. This time of the year can be stressful for everyone and that stress makes it a perfect time for common viruses to make us sick. But don't worry, massage therapy can help, and not just by giving you a chance to relax.

Stress makes it much harder for the body to fight infections, like the common cold or the flu. When you're stressed the body releases cortisol, a hormone which inhibits the body's immune system functions. As though that wasn't bad enough Read full article

Testimonial  for Dr.Maya

"I have been a patient of Dr. Pande's for over 12 weeks with regular treatments. At first I was very skeptical to see a chiropractor and after lots of research I decided to take the plunge; and it was the best thing that I ever did.

During my first consultation, Dr. Pande took the time to sit with me and explain what was going on in my body; more specifically my spine. She created a treatment plan for me that would allow my body to function in a much better way; I took her advice and started treatments immediately.

Because of Dr. Pande's professional treatment I have more energy, I feel much better overall and I am no longer lactose intolerant. Her treatments have increased the blood flow throughout my entire body and because of that my central nervous system has started to function much better. In addition, my career has also improved with clients (both new and existing) commenting on the extra step in my stride and my ability to produce extraordinary results for them in a manner they have never seen before. I owe my recent success to Dr. Pande and the treatments that she has given me. Furthermore, I have also referred her to many others that I know have shown similar results."
