Greetings!

We help our communitycans of food

No one wants to go hungry.  However, job loss, high rents, disability can create situations that make it difficult for some people to feed themselves and their families. The Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto supports the growing number of singles and families in the GTA who find themselves in need of food and unable to provide it for themselves. We hope you will be able to support us in our first ever Food Drive on Saturday, November 27. Read the details below and thank you for caring.

Dr. Maya
Do You Suffer From "Texting Thumb"? by Dr. Maya Pande

Texting has become the communication mode of choice that many people use to keep in contact with their world. It's quick, easier than emailing and is available to anyone with a cell phone.  As the incidence of texting increases, so does the incidence of hand and thumb strain.  The small keyboards, the repetitive motions and the quick movements all lead to repetitive strain/sprain injuries of the hand, fingers and thumbs.  This is becoming a common complaint among teenagers and young adults as well as with workaholics.  There are a few things that you can do to decrease the chance of injury:

Food Drive for the Daily Bread Food Bank
As the holidays approach, demands on food banks rise.  The community of Yonge and Eglinton, where we are fortunate to live and work, is a thriving, vibrant community.  However, poverty does exist here and in many other areas of Toronto.  Food banks help those who have fallen on unfortunate circumstances, like job loss, medical issues, divorce, disability, etc.

dailybreadlogoThe staff at Pande Family Wellness Centre would like to do what we can to make a difference by collecting food donations for the Daily Bread Food Bank.  Dr. Maya will be giving FREE chiropractic adjustments on Saturday November 27, 2010 to current patients.  Simply bring in a food donation of a minimum of five items, and Dr. Maya will adjust you for free!  No appointment required.  Hours are from 9:00am to 12 noon.   For a list of most-need items, please visit our website.

Donations will continue to be accepted at our office during the week of
November 29 - December 3 (however, the free adjustment day is only Nov 27).

Thank you for your help!
Our Patients Speak

HipseatThis is what some of our patients are saying about us:

"The chiropractic treatments were pain-free and effective in reducing my
lower back pain. I am consistently impressed with how wonderful I feel
after each treatment." - Chris N.

"I strongly recommend Dr. Pande to anyone who is suffering from a tight or
stiff neck and a poor golf score." - Steve M.

Referrals are one of our best sources of new patients.  The nicest compliment you can pay is to refer one of your loved ones to us.  It shows you care and that you value the service we provide to you.  We thank you for placing your trust in us to treat your referrals with the same excellent care you have grown to expect.

DID YOU KNOW??
... that if you park on Holly Street you can enter our building via the back door??  It'll save walking around to the Yonge Street Entrance. Just exit the Green P Parking on Holly Street via the back exit door.  When you exit outside, you will be opposite the reserved parking lot for our building (white/red gates will be right in front of you).  Scootch past the gates to the building door.  You can find our name in the directory on the panel - enter code 131 - and you'll be connected to our receptionist who will open the door for you!  It'll be a nice shortcut during the winter months!!

Making a difference is your community is something we can all do.  We are thankful for the abundances that we enjoy in our lives, and when we take a moment and share with those less fortunate, the impact is incredible.  A small token, but a huge difference.  Thank you,  , for helping to make a difference in the lives of some of the people in our community.
Sincerely,
Dr. Maya Pande, DC
