Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee
Lent 2011

Dear People of the Diocese of Milwaukee,

Blessings to you as Lent begins today and we walk through this holy season together.

I, once again, invite you to participate in the study of the Gospel of Matthew with the Bishop and with the whole Diocese.  You can find it at

http://biblestudywithbishopmiller.blogspot.com/.  There are videos, daily reflections, discussion questions and an area to respond with each post.

Our reflections began today and will continue through Easter.  Each week, there will be a video from Bishop Miller that discusses a particular section of Matthew and with each video, there will be discussion questions you can download and use in small groups and on Sunday mornings.

You can find the "Daily Reading Guide" at

http://biblestudywithbishopmiller.blogspot.com/p/daily-reading-guide.html.  This guide tells you what to read each day and what the reflection will focus on each day.  The reflections are written by members of the Diocese, both clergy and lay, and are wonderful, though-provoking pieces to get you thinking about the scripture and what it may have to do with your life.

Weekly Videos and Discussion Questions

Videos will be posted each Saturday in the Blog Post.  As they are made available, they will be available ahead of time on the "Videos" link at the top of the page.  To show these, you will either need to have internet access on the computer that you want to show it from or you will need to download the video so you can show it without internet access.  Below you will find many ways to download the videos to your computer.  Once it is downloaded, you can burn it on to a disc if you need to or hook your computer up to a projector and you are ready to go!

There will also be a Discussion Questions page that is downloadable and printable for each video.
