Matthew 10:40-42 (The Message)
"We are intimately linked in this harvest work. Anyone who accepts what you do, accepts me, the One who sent you. Anyone who accepts what I do accepts my Father, who sent me. Accepting a messenger of God is as good as being God's messenger. Accepting someone's help is as good as giving someone help. This is a large work I've called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it. It's best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won't lose out on a thing."

What is EYE:   EYE is a real experience of our Episcopal Church.  It is the second largest event in the Episcopal Church and the single largest youth event in the Episcopal Church, typically attended by some 1500 young people, adult sponsors, bishops, staff, and resource people. EYE is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gather with 1500 other young people.  There will be three very full days of worship, sharing, praying, learning, singing, and working, calling participants into a greater awareness of and commitment to God's mission in the world.

Cost:  Approximately $400 a person.

Ten percent of each registration will be used specifically to respond to mission opportunities at the event in keeping with the Five Marks of Mission and Millennium Development Goals. Cost includes: registration, lodging, meals, transportation, t-shirts and other costs.  Scholarship assistance is available.  All attendees are expected to pay something towards the cost of attendance.

Requirements to attend EYE 2011:

  • You must be a high school student in the 2010 - 2011 academic year, or an adult over the age of 21.   You must be active in a congregation.
  • All Youth AND Adults wishing to attend EYE must fill out the application and send their application to the address below BY DECEMBER 18, 2010.
