On October 10th St. Paul's, Watertown celebrated the 150th anniversary of the church building with Bishop Miller. The liturgy was from the 1789 Book of Common Prayer, the food and dress were of the period, and parishioners had their photo taken in a carriage or "buggy' such as conveyed funding members to services. Says Fr. Moore, "We had a great time, celebrated a great history and look forward to a wonderful future."

Christ Church, WFB needs volunteers!
Christ Church, Whitefish Bay needs your help for an Interfaith Outreach project. Worldwide Hunger Relief, Inc., a local Waukesha area charity, is working together with local churches and the Islamic Society of Milwaukee to conduct a 4 day food pack to feed the hungry people of Pakistan whose homes and crops have been destroyed by the monsoon flooding this summer. All food packed will be shipped to Pakistan and distributed with the help of Zindagi Trust www.zindagitrust.org, one of the most respected charities in Pakistan.
We need volunteers from ages 5 to 105 to pack food ingredients for meals. This is a great way to get children involved in outreach and it's fun! Tasks include filling bags with ingredients, weighing, sealing, packing and stacking the boxes. Anyone who can sit or stand for a 90 minute shift is welcome and encouraged to come and help. We will have two packing shifts per evening, Monday through Thursday, November 1-4: one at 6:00-7:30pm and the second one 7:30-9:00pm. Please visit the website for more information www.worldwidehungerrelief.org

more The soldier and his lady in the accompaning photo are actually (THE VEN.) TOM WINSLOW and his wife, PEG? They are pictured in Lebanon, Connecticut earlier this month at the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Jonathan Trumball, Sr., Connecticut's governor during the Revolutionary War. Tom serves as chaplain to the modern-day re-creation of Sheldon's Horse - 2nd Light Dragoons, an American cavalry unit during the Revoluiton. He is decended from the last surviving member of the original troop, Lemuel Cook, who lived until 1866 and was 107 years old when he died!
That sometimes fishers for people have to take a break and fish for . . . well, fish?! The Reverends Scott Stoner (lower photo)and Seth Dietrich (top photo) did just that on the Milwaukee River this month!
