Christ Church, WFB seeks Family Ministries Leader
Christ Church is looking for a Family Ministries Leader to supervise all of our children's programming, nursery through middle school and perhaps work with our youth group.  A part-time position with flexible hours (10-18 hours depending on how much time is spent with the youth, some of those hours can be done from anywhere).   We're looking for someone who can laugh at a Christmas pageant gone awry, who can admit they don't have all the answers and who can sense a desire within themselves to nurture parents and kids in God's infinite love.   Curious?  Contact The Rev. Seth Dietrich seth@christchurchwfb.org .   Free cup of coffee with every interview!

From the SFH Chaplain

Calling all clergy:  Is there someone from your parish who will be attending UW-Madison in the fall?  If so, please be in touch with me at 608-257-0688 or chaplain@stfrancisuw.org

Sometimes it's not so easy to figure out by working
with the University if any Episcopalians are enrolling, so please let me know and I'll work on reaching out to any incoming (or current!) students you know of.  We have worship and dinner weekly at 5pm, as well as mid-week services and fellowship opportunities.

Thanks for your help!

Calling All Artists!
batikThe Planning Committee for the Diocesan Convention is working on components of a special worship space for the Convention Eucharist on Saturday October 9th (everyone please plan on attending).  With our own Bishop Miller and Presiding Bishop Jefferts-Schori co-presiding, we anticipate quite a celebration, and want a space that supports and enhances the experience.  As part of realizing the design of this worship environment, we are seeking someone to lead the creation of some fabric art pieces.  Batik comes to mind, but other options (weaving, dyeing, stitch-work, painting, etc) might also be appropriate.  The pieces will be somewhat large, and there is much room yet for creativity and design ideas.  If you might be the right person for this project, please email Bill Robison at wgrobison@gmail.com , and learn more about it.  If you know of someone who might have the right gifts for this project, please share this request with them.  It takes many hands to put together such a celebration, and we need yours too!

Fr. Jim Kaestner Bikes to raise funds for MS Research

msbik

Dear Clergy and friends,

On the weekend of Aug. 6 & 7 I will be biking 150 miles on behalf of those in our state who have Multiple Sclerosis.

WISCONSIN HAS THE HIGHEST INCIDENCE OF MS IN OUR NATION!

This is not a record to be proud of but it does tell us several things. It tells us that our researchers and doctors are very good at both diagnosis and treatment. It tells us that we need to do everything we can to support those doing research, those providing care, and those with families who need our support. (No one is ever sick alone.)

This will be my 18th year of biking on behalf of MS. I intend to do it as long as I can. This year I wasn't too sure but had an alternative plan in mind. I am glad I did not need to do the alternative: A 50 mile Walk in Door County.

If you have not supported this in the past (a great many of you have) please send a check made out to:   MS SOCIETY OF WISCONSIN. You can send it to my house:

N52 W37111 Washington St.
 Oconomowoc, WI  53066

If you prefer to make on on-line donation you can do so by clicking on the link below which will take you to my page on the Bike MS website.

Blessings on behalf of those with MS and their families,

Fr. Jim Kaestner

Opportunity to Volunteer with Trinity, Wauwatosa on Habitat for Humanity project
Take a September day . . . add drywall, nails, dirt and paint; throw in a liberal amount of elbow grease and what do you get?  A new home and yard thanks to parishioners who volunteer with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity (MHH).
Trinity Episcopal Church in Wauwatosa is teaming up with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity (MHH) during the "Building on Faith" week, September 13-18.  This week is staffed by volunteers from churches in the greater Milwaukee area.  Volunteering is a great opportunity to give back to the community and feel the impact of faith in action. Building homes for low-income families is truly God's work on earth!  No experience needed -- MHH will train you.  Come join the Trinity Team!  We would love to have you!
To volunteer / for more information - please contact Betsy Jeffery at bjeffery@wi.rr.com  or (414) 810-4703.

One more time . . . THANK YOU for forwarding this newsletter to parishioners and others who may be  interested and for sending YOUR news/events / photos to

info@diomil.org .

See you next week!

Sincerely,
