Julian Gatherings open to all
OJN house

A Julian Gathering is open to everyone and you are welcome at all times.  We support each other in the practice of contemplative prayer and contemplative spirituality.

These gatherings are initiated and supported by the Order of Julian of Norwich (www.orderofjulian.org) and have the quintessentially Anglican writings of Blessed Mother Julian of Norwich at their core.  They are for all who want to deepen their life of faith through the practice of contemplative prayer, for beginners as well as those already practicing.  Each meeting includes time for contemplative prayer, fellowship, and reading/discussion of Bl. Julian's revelations.  At the beginning of each meeting, brief instruction on the practice of contemplative prayer is offered.

We meet the second Wednesday of each month from 7:15 to 9 PM at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 6205 University Ave., Madison, Wisconsin.  Our next meeting is Wednesday, July 14.  For additional information, contact Susan Fiore: (608) 845-2413 orlento@chorus.net .

Murder in cath

Sundries from the Avenue

Daily, too many of our economically distressed brothers and sisters in the Milwaukee area ask themselves the following question, "Do I buy food, medicine or hygiene products?"
St. James Episcopal Church is delighted to help answer that question through the ministry of Sundries from The Avenue. Working in concert with the Outreach Ministry of the Central City Churches of Milwaukee, Sundries from The Avenue gathers and provides sundries at no cost to single adults and families living on low-incomes, on fixed-incomes or with no incomes.
The Sundries ministry of St. James', Milwaukee is asking for your help.  When you travel this summer, save and collect your unused sundries from the hotels/motels in which you stay; these amenities are part of your hotel cost.
Please help support this ministry by collecting:Tooth Brushes, Toothpaste,Shampoo, Lotion,Facial Tissue,Deodorant, Soap, Disposable Razors, Mouthwash, Feminine Hygiene Products, Combs &Hair Brushes, Shaving Cream, Lip Balm, Dental Floss, Bandages.
This collection will run all summer, and end at the Diocesan Convention in October, where we will also have a table for drop off collected items.  Collected items are distributed monthly at St. James' in cooperation with the meal ministry of The Gathering, and at other times through the Outreach Ministry of the Central City Churches of Milwaukee.
For more information, or if you would like to assist with this ministry, please contact St. James at 414-271-1340 or via email: stjamesmilwauke@aol.com .

Opportunity to Volunteer with Trinity, Wauwatosa on Habitat for Humanity project
Take a September day . . . add drywall, nails, dirt and paint; throw in a liberal amount of elbow grease and what do you get?  A new home and yard thanks to parishioners who volunteer with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity (MHH).
Trinity Episcopal Church in Wauwatosa is teaming up with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity (MHH) during the "Building on Faith" week, September 13-18.  This week is staffed by volunteers from churches in the greater Milwaukee area.  Volunteering is a great opportunity to give back to the community and feel the impact of faith in action. Building homes for low-income families is truly God's work on earth!  No experience needed -- MHH will train you.  Come join the Trinity Team!  We would love to have you!
To volunteer / for more information - please contact Betsy Jeffery at bjeffery@wi.rr.com  or (414) 810-4703.

Camp Webb is an outdoor ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee.  Everyone who comes to Camp Webb is given the opportunity to learn more about themselves and others, to discover more about the Episcopal Church, to develop a greater spiritual awareness, and to encounter Christ through living and learning in God's creation.  Campers will learn new skills, make new friends, create lasting memories and explore who they are and who God is in their lives.
