Day1 ManningThe Rev. Gary Manning's Sermon on Day 1 Radio
In June of last year, less than five miles from where I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a crowd of slightly more than two thousand people shouted, jostled and restlessly stood in line to receive what they thought would be an emergency food stamp allocation. They had heard about a one-time grant from the federal government to assist families adversely affected by devastating floods in our area. But the longer they stood, the angrier they became.

Halloween at
St. Alban's, Sussex
Know St. Alban's in Sussex Is Wondering . . . .Where will YOU be on Halloween?
Join us Saturday, October 31 for our Annual All Hallows' Eve Candlelight Cemetery Celebration.  This unique worship experience combines readings from the Bible while learning about the Christian context behind many traditional Halloween activities like carving jack-o-lanterns and trick or treating.  Participants will meet the Witch of Endor (1 Sam. 28), hear about the first dancing skeleton from Ezekiel, do some real old fashioned trick-or-treating for "soul cakes", and be the very first human beings to hear told for the first time in nearly 100 years St. Alban's own Ghost Story all while following a path of candlelight through St. Alban's beautiful and historic cemetery.  This event is absolutely FREE for all ages, so what is your excuse for being anywhere else on All Hallows' Eve?
The experience begins at 5:30pm at St. Alban's for jack-o-lantern carving; 6:30pm is the candlelight cemetery celebration; 7:00pm All Hallows' Eve party in the fellowship hall.
Call St. Alban's at 262-246-4430 for more information.  Costumes welcome!
Don't be afraid!  Join the Celebration!
