What is a Mission Vacation?
Over the last fourteen years, Brigit and I have led short-term mission teams all over the world. Countless times individuals have commented to us about how they only get one or two week vacations from their jobs per year, and they just don't have time to take a week off from work, to go work, on the mission field.
That's why this February we are going to host our first "Mission Vacation Team Trip" - a combination of ministry and vacation in the beautiful country of Costa Rica!
Getting rest from the fast-paced lives we all lead is very important. Even Jesus knew the importance of getting His disciples away from the work of ministry for a time of R&R (Mark 6:31).
We hope you will consider joining us this February! It is going to be a fantastic time.

Meeting needs in a tangible way...
#1 - Language School
One of the greatest needs of the youth in Costa Rica is the ability to speak English. If a Tico is bi-lingual, he or she has the opportunity to get a better job and to provide better for their family.
Our desire is to help these young people gain a good understanding of the English language so that they can see some of their dreams become a reality.
We have developed a program where these young adults can come to classes every Sunday for a very small fee. We need your help to subsidize the expense of their class.
For only $25 per month, you can sponsor one of these young people and change their life forever!
#2 - Children's Ministry
The church we attend in Uvita is doing a great job ministering to the people of the community. Pastors Payton and Julie McKeithan have been here for seven years, tirelessly serving those who are lost and hurting. Brigit and I serve in the children's ministry at the church every other week. We noticed that the church provides a small snack and drink for the kids halfway through the lesson. We have learned how expensive food items like this are down here and have decided to help pitch in. I calculated what is being spent on snacks and materials for the Bible lessons each week, and it comes to about $25. There are 19 weeks left in 2012, therefore the budget for the remainder of the year is $475.00. If you would like to sponsor a week or more, please click on the link below! THANK YOU!
