Slam on the Sound annual quad rugby tournament to be held in Tacoma at Mt Tahoma High School, September 28th - 29th. Games Friday evening and Saturday/Sunday between 9am - 5pm. Checkout the 'live' version of Murderball....

Come by and check out this great group of athletes on   Tuesday nights. This is a great place to meet others, get a little exercise and have fun! Some equipment available.

New team sport to the Northwest. Open to physically disabled or able-bodied youth and adults looking to have some fun.

Seattle Adaptive Sports is very interested in supporting the powerchair users in the Seattle area and northend. We are looking for a coach and support staff to help support this sport.

NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will show a one-hour

highlights program of the Paralympics on:

Tuesday, September 4th at 4:00pm PST

Wednesday, September 5th at 4:30pm PST

Thursday, September 6th at 4:00pm PST

Tuesday, September 11th at 4:pm PST

NBC will have a 90 minute special on Sunday, September 16th at 11:00am PST

 

The venues have all been sold out with thousands of people excited to see these amazing athletes represent their countries. Ask NBC to make these athletes a priority for the Winter 2014 games at nbcolympicsfeedback@nbcuni.com 

 

September 9th, The CREW Youth Social invades the Seattle Aquarium 1-4pm. Ensure your spot through the events page on the Facebook fan page.

September 22nd, Wheelchair basketball MANDATORY player and parents meeting at practice.

October 9th, Wheelchair basketball exhibition at Boeing. Players needed for exhibition. Thousands planning to come watch you 'show off'. Let your coach know you are available.

October 13th, The CREW Youth Social meets at Nova High School from 3-5pm.

October 13th -14th, Dribble on Wheels basketball camp. This all day basketball camp is open to all ages, beginner to advance and will include a 'By Invitation' Elite Camp. Location: Nova High School. Cost: $50. Novice FREE.

November 17th, Wheelchair basketball exhibition at Mt Pilchuck school in Lk Stevens. Let your coach know you are available to come 'show off'.

October 20th-21stBridge Classic basketball tournament, Portland, OR. All teams attending.

November 10th-11th, Tacoma Classic basketball tournament, Mt Tahoma High School. Adult teams attending.

December 1st-2nd, Seattle Jam basketball tournament (SAS host) West Seattle High School. All teams competing. Volunteers needed for planning and scorekeeping. Contact info@seattleadaptivesports.org for more info.

December 7th-9th, West Coast Regional wheelchair basketball tournament, Phoenix, AZ. Junior team.

December or January, Sled Hockey scrimmage with Canada.

The CREW Youth Social  

 

The CREW Youth Socials are open to youth and young adults to come hang out in our mentoring program. Supervision is provided by Camp Casey counselors. Organizers: Brian and Cassie Hurley. Sponsored by Seattle Adaptive Sports, Seattle Parks and Recreation, the Spina Bifida Association of Washington and the Kiwanis Camp Casey Foundation. The CREW Youth Social will take place the second Saturday of each month from 3-5pm, following the Seattle Adaptive Sports Experience clinics. What a great time to have your parents go off shopping or into Seattle for some fun, while you have some of your own with friends....games, food and laughter.

SAS promotes, encourages, and simulates the education, socialization, physical development, and normalization of persons with physical disabilities; and to promote public awareness and understanding of the need for recreational sports and amateur competitive athletic opportunities for physically challenged individuals. SAS offers competitive basketball, track/field, sitting volleyball, sled hockey and monthly sports clinics to physically challenged individuals in the Puget Sound region.
