Seattle Storm Game Night

Join us for a Seattle Storm game on Saturday, August 18th where our wheelchair basketball players will 'show off' their skills in a pre-game exhibtion. This game is a Lauren Jackson bobblehead night to welcome her back from the London Olympic. Tickets are limited, so get yours today - $20 (face value $34). Adapt 2 Achieve Conference

Sponsored by Disabled Sports USA, this conference offers Adaptive rock climbing, Adaptive archery and Nonprofit administrative topics. The conference is Monday and Tuesday, August 20th & 21st ALL Day. Check out the link for more information

The conference cost is $150, which offers registration, housing and food or if you are local and not needing the housing the cost is $50. Use the discount code of A2ANorthwest50 for the special pricing. The age limit is 18 years or older. Registration is open until 9am Friday, August 17th.

$3 fee for adults

Come by and check out this great group of athletes onbasketball practice  Tuesday nights. This is a great place to meet others, get a little exercise and have fun! Some equipment available.

August 18, The CREW Hits the Zoo. This fun annual event is crazy fun hanging out with friends at Woodland Park Zoo.

August 18, Seattle Storm game at KeyArena. CoStorm Exbitionme watch our wheelchair basketball athletes hit the floor with their amazing  skills, get your Lauren Jackson bobblehead souvenir, and buy your raffle ticket for a chance to win the '50/50 Pot' to be split with Seattle Adaptive Sports.

August 25, Come for a day of fun at the Seattle Parks Healthy Parks/Healthy You event at Magnuson Park and stop by to see some 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball with our teams.

August 25, US Canoe/Kayaking National Championships on Greenlake in Seattle. Come watch local athletes compete in the newest sport of ParaCanoeing for the Paralympic games in Rio 2016.

August 29, The Paralympic games begin in London through September 9th. You will not be able to find media coverage on a daily basis for the Paralympic games, although NBC will be doing a few recaps, watch YouTube.com/UParalympics London 2012SParalympics, USParalympics.org and UniversalSports.com, all on the internet for the best coverage. Keep an eye out for  Washington athletes Desi Miller - wheelchair basketball, Katie Holloway - sitting volleyball, Jeff Skiba - track/field, Amberlynn Weber - track, Susannah Scaroni - track, Kristen Messer - track, Austin Pruitt - track, Chris Hammer - track, Scott Hogsett - wheelchair rugby, Josh Olson - shooting, Anthony Pedeferri - cycling AND past basketball players with our Jr Sonics from Oregon, Carleigh DeWald - track and Zach Abbott - track. Congratulations to all these amazing athletes. GO USA!!! 

 

Power Soccer

Seattle Adaptive Sports is very interested in supportinPower Soccerg the powerchair users in the Seattle area and northend. We are looking for a coach and support staff to help support this sport. If you are interested in participating on a team or volunteering with coaching, please contact us at info@seattleadaptivesports.org    

 

 

 

 

The CREW Youth Social  

 

 

The CREW Youth Socials are open to youth and young adults to come hang out in our mentoring program. Supervision is provided by Camp Casey counselors. Organizers: Brian and Cassie Hurley. Sponsored by Seattle Adaptive Sports, the Spina Bifida Association of Washington and the Kiwanis Camp Casey Foundation. The CREW Youth Social will take place the second Saturday of each month from 3-5pm, following the Seattle Adaptive Sports Experience clinics. What a great time to have your parents go off shopping or into Seattle for some fun, while you have some of your own with friends....games, food and laughter.

SAS promotes, encourages, and simulates the education, socialization, physical development, and normalization of persons with physical disabilities; and to promote public awareness and understanding of the need for recreational sports and amateur competitive athletic opportunities for physically challenged individuals. SAS offers competitive basketball, track/field, sitting volleyball, sled hockey and monthly sports clinics to physically challenged individuals in the Puget Sound region.
