Greetings!
October has been a busy month at the BAC, and we are also looking forward to many exciting events coming up soon. This weekend, the BAC will have a booth at the National Autism Association's 3rd Annual NYC Autism/Asperger's Conference featuring Temple Grandin! We hope to spread the word about our program and resources to members of the autism community. Click here for more information about this conference. Please see below for details on our upcoming Halloween celebration and stay tuned in the coming weeks for an invite to a reception honoring our wonderful volunteers!

Guggenheim Partnership
|
The BAC has partnered with the Guggenheim Museum to provide training for their teaching artists. These teaching artists provide tours of the museum and run workshops for students with disabilities. We are teaching them how to work effectively with children with autism, so that these children can have the best experience possible at the museum!
Two weeks ago, Sydnee Jorgl and Jaime Nicklas did a presentation and led a question and answer period for the Guggenheim staff. Everyone at the museum was incredibly receptive and committed to improving museum services for children with autism. During the next phase of this partnership the teaching artists will visit the BAC to observe our teaching methods. We are excited about the BAC's relationship with the Guggenheim, and will keep you updated as it progresses!
