Greetings!

We are pleased to introduce a new instructor at the BAC! Deborah Lewis began volunteering at the BAC this summer doing art lessons. She has a Master's degree in social work, as well as a duel Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Art, with a specialization in Art Therapy. She will be working in the little kids classroom,  as Talia moves over to work with the older kids.

Parent Yahoo Group
BAC Parents,

The BAC Parent Yahoo group has launched today! Check your email inbox for an invitation, along with directions on how to join. This email list-serve will serve as a place for BAC parents to connect and share resources.
Need After-School Participants!
We have several openings in our peer socialization after-school program for children with autism ages 7-12. BAC Friends is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 - 4:30 pm. This program is provided free of charge, thanks to a generous grant from the Brooklyn Community Foundation.

Please spread the word if you know any children who would benefit from structured play time with peer volunteers. This program is a lot of fun for all participants, and provides lots of opportunities for interaction through art, music and physical activity!

Thanks for reading this newsletter! We are looking forward to another great school year. Please continue to help us thrive by spreading the word about the BAC to your friends, families, and people you meet in the autism community!

Sincerely,

Sydnee Jorgl
