Glucose System Dysfunction as a biofeedback problem with Pyruvate Carboxylase?
Greetings!
Last month our newsletter discussed the recent findings that some types of glucose system dysfunction can be caused by reduced Pyruvate Carboxylase activity in the pancreas. This month, yet more researchers are publishing articles about the relationship between Pyruvate Carboxylase and glucose system dysfunction.
In the November 2011 issue of the journal "Islets", the London School of Medicine (Sugden, 2011) presents glucose system dysfunction as a bio-feedback problem with Pyruvate Carboxylase. 1) High levels of Glucose impede the Pyruvate Carboxylase enzyme in the pancreas. 2) Low activity levels of PC lead to lower beta cell proliferation, which make insulin, and thus less insulin is produced. 3) Less insulin results in high levels of glucose, and so on back to step 1) ........
In the body, the enzyme Pyruvate Carboxylase has one function: to make Oxaloacetate.
Pyruvate Carboxylase Enzyme
Pyruvate + HCO3 + ATP ---> Oxaloacetate + ADP + Pi
Sugden also suggests that another enzyme, pyruvate dehydrogenase may be involved in the biofeedback problem. Previously, oxaloacetate supplementation was shown to increase the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase by up to 300% (Haas, 1988, J Neurochem), increasing the generation of ATP. The increase in ATP was measured as a decrease in muscle fatigue as presented at the "Experimental Biology" meeting in Washington, DC this spring. Providing more ATP via enhanced pyruvate dehydrogenase activity and the orthomolecular product of Pyruvate Carboxylase, oxaloacetate, may be helpful in supporting and maintaining normal glucose system function. Keeping the overall glucose system at optimal functioning can help with mood swings, sugar cravings, fatigue and overall well being. benaGene , composed of equal portions of the metabolite "oxaloacetate" and Vitamin C has been gaining interest among physicians as more and more scientific data comes in.
benaGene brand oxaloacetate provides 100 times the normal amount of oxaloacetate that is received in a typical diet. Supplementation with this natural human metabolite provides a mechanism to positively modify enzyme response to mimic a calorie restricted metabolic state.

| About benaGene | |
benaGene is a new concept in nutritional supplements. Composed of Vitamin C and the natural human metabolite oxaloacetate in order to mimic a calorie restricted state, benaGene positively affects gene expression. benaGene has been proven to increase the lifespan of laboratory animals by 25% (p << 0.001).
You can benefit with benaGene by providing glucose system support in addition to receiving the anti-aging benefits. A powerful natural AMPK activator, oxaloacetate has been shown to lower fasting glucose levels in a clinical trial. Additionally, benaGene is an excellent choice after a diet in order to reduce weight rebound as benaGene down-regulates the genes that produce and store fat (by approximately 50%, animal studies).

Thank you for your interest in benaGene. For more information, go to our information web site at www.benaGene.com. If you have any questions concerning this dietary supplement, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Whereas we do not provide medical advice, we can provide you with the references and research we have done in regards to oxaloacetic acid supplementation. We have tremendous science behind benaGene, but the science will not help anyone if benaGene is not used. Please help us to spread the word about this unique dietary supplement.
Sincerely,
