As you open up your very newest bottles of benaGene you will notice that the capsules are substantially smaller.  We have not reduced the amount of oxaloacetate or Vitamin C, but have decided to eliminate any artificial "fillers".  In the past we have used microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide as fillers.  While these fillers are inert, and will pass right through us all, do we really need them?  We have also eliminated the artificial coloring in the capsule shell (white titanium dioxide) and have moved from an animal based capsule (gelatin) to a vegetable based capsule (veggie cap).  We believe that "Less is More" in delivering products to you that you actually want.

So why did we use the fillers, artificial color, and animal based capsules in the first place, anyway?  The fillers were used because we could use a larger capsule, and more GMP manufacturers use the larger size.  It is actually rare that a very small capsule can contain enough of a natural product to make a difference in the human body, but oxaloacetate is an extremely powerful human metabolite, and not very much of it is needed to affect metabolism.  The artificial color was used in capsule because over time, the Vitamin C in the formulation turns orange, then brown as it acts as an electron acceptor and keeps the oxaloacetate fresh.  Rather than hide this reaction with a white colored capsule, we now elect to educate our benaGene partners that the color change is a good thing, and it just shows that the Vitamin C is working without a loss of oxaloacetate potency.  Finally, we originally used animal based gel caps instead of vegetable based gel caps because they were less expensive.  However, as our product sales have grown, we can use the more expensive veggie caps without raising the consumer price due to scaled manufacturing savings.

So, as the consumer of benaGene, we have provided you less, but we hope you will think it is more.  It is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the product.  Ultimately, however, each product is defined by the people who use the product, and we would love to receive your feed-back on these changes in benaGene.
