Mitochondrial Energy Boost
for Older Athletes & Patients
Dear Dr. Contact Last Name,
As we age, we become more and more insulin resistant. The glucose in our bloodstream has greater difficulty entering skeletal muscles. I am sure you have seen evidence of this-- just look at an elderly patient--- they "shuffle" instead of "walk".
AMPK activators are known for their abilities of increasing glucose flow into the skeletal muscles, which can be especially helpful to elderly patients (those of us above 40). Driving glucose to the muscle tissue is certainly more healthful than having the glucose circulate in our bloodstream, as the glucose itself can bind to various proteins and cause damage to our arteries. The glucose delivered to the muscles is used for energy production.
Oxaloacetate is a natural AMPK activator. A member of the Krebs Cycle metabolites, oxaloacetate takes a central role in the metabolism of the cell. Supplementing with extra oxaloacetate has been shown to activate AMPK. So now we understand why elderly patients have more energy when taking oxaloacetate supplements. But there appears to be another reason also. In a paper by Richard Hass (and others) from UC San Diego, excess oxaloacetate was shown to stimulate Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Activity in the Mitochondria, a process essential for feeding the Krebs cycle and producing energy. Interestingly, the increase in Activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase with supplemented oxaloacetate is almost 300% higher. More activity means more fuel to feed the mitochondria in the cell, which will produce greater overall energy for the cell itself.
The increase in available energy with oxaloacetate supplementation is so apparent that older athletes (again, those of us who are over 40) are starting to take oxaloacetate with a meal 30 minutes prior to our normal work-out. As a specific example of this, a 50+ year old female athlete supplemented her exercise routine with benaGene oxaloacetate 30 minutes prior to working out with a small meal. After riding her bike 60 miles, then running 2 miles, she stated that she did not stop her 5-hour workout due to lack of energy, but due to lack of time, as she had other things to do. She expressed that the supplementation allowed her to work out as if she was 15 years younger. She used the word "miraculous" an amazing number of times in describing the effect.
benaGene is a nutritional supplement that contains 100 times the oxaloacetate normally found in the daily diet. A once-per-day formulation, benaGene was originally developed for anti-aging and glucose system support.
Is there an older athlete in your practice that could use an energy and endurance boost? Or perhaps a very elderly person who could use a bit more energy? Consider having the patient supplement with benaGene.
benaGene is an opportunity to greatly improve the life of your patients. 99% OF YOUR PATIENTS SHOULD BE WALKING OUT OF YOUR OFFICE WITH A BOTTLE OF BENAGENE. Contact AOR to sign up for a wholesale account.
