"I recorded my blood glucose on one of the new Contour USB monitors (stores and displays the data), and it appears to me that OAA helps eliminate dips and caps the peaks. Even on a guy who has no issues - it just feels better, less hunger and less snacking. I normally eat a low carb diet (holidays excepted), but with the Benagene and my normal diet the BG [blood glucose] just would not rise much at all - so I had a big bowl of redbeans and rice and some other higher carb meals. That put the BG up some, but not much. For the non-DM crowd I believe the real benefit is avoidance of the dips, which cause snacking and guilt and weight gain.
