IBM and Microsoft Upgrades

IBM i5 OS
IBM has announced end of support for V5R3 and below, and now has V7R1 on the drawing board. If you are not running a supported version of CA 2E and Plex, you must upgrade to operate with V6R1.

Microsoft Vista/XP
Although Vista has been on a slow adoption curve, with Windows 7 now released Microsoft has announced that the days of XP are officially numbered. You must upgrade to CA Plex 6.1 to take full advantage of Vista and Windows 7.

Dear

Many of us CA 2E and CA Plex developers are facing a development tooling upgrade in our near future, in some cases forced to by IBM's V6R1 requirements or Microsoft's Windows 7 release. And many of us are also excited to take advantage of the new SOA features with the CA 2E and Plex products.

Of course upgrades can double edged swords. On the one hand you can get great new features. On the other hand the upgrade process can be difficult, and you need to learn how to benefit from the new features. At our conference you will get first hand information about the upgrade process and the new features in Plex, 2E, Websydian, MKS, Matchpoint, and other products. You will be able to talk to the development teams in person, and get answers to your specific questions.
