Advanced Plex controls. WebClient comes with AJAX templates for Plex control features such as Child Panels (including Tab Strip and Wizard controls). These features allow multi-panel rich screens to be ported to the Web with a minimum of effort.
Unicode character support. WebClient now supports characters in other character sets via a runtime configuration setting, enabling applications to support data in multiple languages.
Deep-linking support. The ability to call a WebClient application from an external Web application has been enhanced with a protocol that allows any set of parameters to be passed in to any Plex function without additional Plex code, easing integration with other enterprise Web applications and web services.
Enhanced scalability and performance. Memory usage has been improved, and a session time-out facility is available. Concurrent usage has been benchmarked with 100 thin-client user sessions on a single server process. A benchmarking document will be published shortly.
