Web Tech, Public Relations and B.U.This spring a group of senior Public Relations students from Bradley University are teaming up with Web Tech Services for their capstone PR campaign. The group, known as one.der communications is made up of Kim Avants, Stuart Fischer, Hope Grandon, Alyssa Lindaas, and Dylan Williamson. The campaign is designed to create a relationship between a for-profit client and a not-for-profit client in order to increase awareness of an issue that is pertinent to the greater Peoria area. one.der communications and Web Tech Services will partner with local not-for-profit, R.S.V.P. (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) to create a campaign for safe technology use among senior citizens. Throughout the coming months, the campaign will work to increase awareness of technology safety among senior citizens, facilitate intergenerational dialogue about technological exploitation, create visibility among local media outlets, and create an online portal as a resource for senior citizens. The overall goal is to equip Peoria senior citizens with the knowledge and resources to protect themselves from technological exploitation. I will keep you posted on upcoming events!
