Support Tip - Keyboard Shortcuts |
Thanks to Irene of Alex E Jones & Associates for submitting the following suggestion for our support tip! Irene is "Rolling Up the Rim" and hopefully enjoying her free donut as you are reading this!

Instead of using the mouse to click on the lookup button, press the F2 function button to access the lookup screen. Then, press F4 to search by name. Save time by using the F2/F4 buttons rather than using the mouse.
Do you want to get to the next order number or next batch number faster? Press Alt-X to get the next number rather than clicking on the # button to get the next order number, next batch number, next invoice number, etc..

F9 - The Financial Reporter |
For over 15 years, we have been recommending F9 as the financial reporting solution for our clients. Many new features have been added to the software that make it easier to use and leverages the functionality of Excel 2007 and 2010. Clients repeatedly tell us how easy it is for them to generate their monthly financial statements and in record time! F9 offers an easy-to-use Financial Reporting tool that dynamically links the Sage MAS 90 / 200 General Ledger data to Microsoft Excel. If you know Excel, you know F9.
Whether you've used F9 forever or you're thinking of using it, we encourage you to attend a free 30-45 minute webinar to see what's new in the software. It's very cool! These webinars are presented by the publishers of F9 and are offered every Wednesday at 11am PST (2pm EST)
Click here to register for the webinar date of your choice.
Did you know that in addition to basic financial statements preparation, you can also use F9 to . . .
- Prepare consolidated financial statements
- Drill down to GL account and/or transaction data
- Do budgeting
- Prepare pivot table reporting
- Calculate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare Dashboards

Export, Burst, Email, Print and Schedule Crystal Reports |
A number of our customers are using the Visual Cut software we introduced to you in 2009. Visual Cut lets you schedule periodic and exception reports for exporting, bursting, printing and emailing. The report is generated 'unattended' in a PDF or Excel format and then automatically emailed to specific users. Dynamic bursting is a key feature which means that you can trigger a separate export/print/email process for each customer, salesperson or product line.
It will save hours of administration time and will provide value to your business. It costs US$360 which includes 2 years of maintenance.
"Before we started using Visual Cut it would take a full day to run and export the commission reports, save them on the correct place on our network and email them to our salespeople. Now I have set up all of the reports and their destinations in Visual Cut and start the job stream to let it run and distribute the reports automatically. Visual Cut, with its intuitive user interface, provides a quick, easy, and powerful service. The money we spent to purchase Visual CUT was re-cooped in the first month of time saving."
